Bereavement is traumatic when the death is of someone very close, or if the body is found in shocking circumstances. It is particularly hard to recover from bereavement if there has been early bereavement or traumatic loss experience.

Many people will recover from bereavement fairly quickly, some will not.

We treat bereavement through psychotherapy combined with EMDR.

This is normally a fairly short term therapy, but very often the resolution of the bereavement causes deeper attachment issues to surface.
